Why Do We Say Outside SGI There Is No Heritage Of Faith?

The followers of various Nichiren sects are also chanting the same Daimoku, reading the same Gosho and they are also doing shakubuku, are they not also votary of the Lotus Sutra? Are they not Bodhisattvas of the Earth?
What is the real different between SGI and other Nichiren sects?

The Gosho teaches: “But how great is the difference between the blessings received when a sage chants the Daimoku and the blessings received when we chant it? To reply, one is in no way superior to the other. The gold that a fool possesses is no different from the gold that a wise man possesses; a fire made by a fool is the same as a fire made by a wise man. However, there is a difference if one chants the Daimoku while acting against the intent of this Sutra.” (The Fourteen Slanders, WND-1, p756)
Embracing faith in the Gohonzon is more than just chanting the Daimoku. What is important is after embracing faith whether one is able to practice in exact accord with the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin. This is the difference between the faith of other Nichiren sect followers and the SGI members.
Let us observe the achievement of kosen-rufu today. What the SGI has accomplished today cannot be denied, and these should prove that faith in the SGI is in accord with the teaching of Nichiren Daishonin. Under the leadership of SGI President Ikeda, we have fulfilled Nichiren’s vow and prophecy of westward transmission. Nichiren Buddhism has now spread to 192 countries and territories.
The three founding presidents demonstrated the spirit of propagating the Law at the risk of one’s life just like the Daishonin. Despite of threats and harsh persecutions such as imprisonment, they did not compromise with the military government to accept Shinto Talisman. This is truly protecting the pure flow of Nichiren Buddhism with the spirit of not begrudging one’s life. The first President even died a martyr.
Where else besides Soka Gakkai can you find this spirit of Nichiren Daishonin?
In contrast, the other Nichiren sects have completely deviated from the teachings of the Gosho. They only revered Nichiren Daishonin, but they do not make the Daishonin’s vow for kosen-rufu their own.
Only SGI fulfills the intent of Nichiren Daishonin by striving for the happiness of the people and the attainment of kosen-rufu in this world. Our faith is in exact accord with the spirit and intent of Nichiren Daishonin. SGI alone inherits the heritage of faith. It is only in SGI where we can find the lifeblood of Nichiren Daishonin pulsates.
Outside the SGI, there is no heritage of faith, and as the Gosho teaches, “Even embracing the Lotus Sutra would be useless without the heritage of faith.” (The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life, WND-1, p218)

In the light of this passage, it is useless to practice faith alone, and it is slanderous to practice faith in the other Nichiren sects.
To slight the Soka Gakkai, depart from it or seek the heritage of faith or enlightenment somewhere else is like looking for water in the middle of a fire or looking for fire under the water.

During the Selangor Incident, and also the Johor Incident, why did certain members choose to leave Gakkai?
“The common feature of all who abandon their faith or left the organization is that they do not center their lives on the Law, which should be their foundation, or the teacher who instructs them in that Law. Instead, they are centered on themselves. They are selfishly arrogant and ungrateful. That is the essence of those who abandon faith in the Mystic Law.” [“On Persecutions Befalling the Sage”—Part 2 [of 2] SGI Newsletter No. 9406] Those who left the organization and turned against Gakkai were ungrateful, they have forgotten that it was through Gakkai that they had come to embrace Nichiren Buddhism and developed themselves. They forgot their debt of gratitude they owed to their mentor Ikeda Sensei who entrusted them with the mission of kosen-rufu. As leaders, they were supposed to take good care of the members they were in charge of, but instead they misled many innocent members to leave this Buddha’s organization.
